Elm Street bridge goes to one lane until November 6
Crews are replacing the bridge deck joints. Expect short delays at peak hours and use Mill Road if you can.

Starting Monday, October 19, the Elm Street bridge over the Alder River will carry one lane of traffic, with signals at each end. Work runs weekdays from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and the bridge reopens to two lanes every night and weekend.
The joints being replaced were installed in 1994. New joints keep water and road salt off the steel beams below, which adds decades to the bridge's life.
Pedestrians and cyclists keep a protected path on the north side for the whole project. Questions go to Public Works at (555) 555-0160.
